Professional Work

Over seven years in community banking, I designed and built the data infrastructure, analytics, automation, and internal systems used across lending, deposits, finance, operations, compliance, and executive management. The projects below are described at a high level.

Capability area

Data Engineering & Integration

The foundation work: modeling the data, moving it between systems on a schedule, and keeping it trustworthy.

  • 01

    Enterprise Data Warehouse

Designed and built a centralized data environment that brings core banking and other operational systems into modeled, analytics-ready datasets. It replaced disconnected one-off extracts with a shared foundation that reporting, analysis, and automation across the organization are built on.

    • Data Architecture
    • Dimensional Modeling
    • SQL Server
    • Data Warehousing
  • 02

Automated Daily ETL & Data Integration

Built the pipelines and orchestration that extract, stage, validate, and load data from multiple banking systems every day. File ingestion is driven by stored configuration rather than hand-built jobs, changed records are detected instead of reloading everything, and each run is logged and reported on so problems surface before anyone depends on the numbers.

    • ETL
    • Orchestration
    • Incremental Loading
    • Monitoring
  • 03

Digital Banking & Payments Data Integration

Integrated digital banking, card, teller, and payment-channel information into the same environment as core account data. Activity that previously sat in separate vendor portals can now be analyzed alongside the rest of the customer relationship.

    • System Integration
    • ETL
    • Payments Data
    • Digital Channels
  • 04

    Core Conversion & Multi-Entity Consolidation

Supported entity consolidation and a core system transition on the data side: mapping structures between environments, reconciling migrated balances and records against their sources, and producing the comparison reporting teams used to confirm that nothing was lost or misaligned.

    • Data Migration
    • Reconciliation
    • Validation
    • Project Support
  • 05

Data Quality, Matching & Exception Management

Built recurring data-quality checks, exception reporting, and follow-up workflows that surface incomplete, inconsistent, or duplicated information so it can be corrected over time. This includes custom name, address, and entity matching used to connect records that share no common identifier.

    • Data Quality
    • Entity Resolution
    • Governance
    • Automation

Capability area

Analytics & Business Intelligence

Reporting and dashboards that give leadership and departments a consistent picture to work from.

  • 06

    Executive Management Dashboard

Built the reporting behind a daily executive view that consolidates financial, lending, deposit, customer, and operational indicators into one consistent picture. The objective was a decision-support system leadership could rely on each morning, not another report someone had to reconcile first.

    • Executive Reporting
    • Business Intelligence
    • KPI Design
    • Decision Support
  • 07

    Branch & Officer Performance Analytics

Developed standardized scorecards and trend reporting that give consistent visibility into branch activity, production, balances, and portfolio movement. Shared definitions mean every team is measured the same way.

    • Performance Analytics
    • Reporting
    • Business Intelligence
  • 08

    Loan & Deposit Portfolio Analytics

Developed recurring analytics across the lending and deposit portfolios covering balances, new production, maturities, renewals, concentration, and portfolio movement. It runs on shared, reusable logic rather than a long list of separately maintained extracts.

    • Portfolio Analytics
    • Banking Analytics
    • Reporting
  • 09

    Customer Relationship & Targeting Analytics

Brought lending, deposit, and relationship information together into reusable views of a complete customer relationship, then turned that into repeatable segmentation for outreach, product campaigns, and business development. Teams can request an audience instead of rebuilding one.

    • Segmentation
    • Relationship Analytics
    • Marketing Data

Capability area

Financial & Risk Analytics

Modeling relationship economics, balance-sheet activity, and the exceptions that need a human review.

  • 10

    Customer Profitability Model

Developed a customer-level profitability framework combining interest earnings, funding costs, fee income, and estimated servicing expense into a consistent view of relationship value. The calculations and reporting were then automated, so profitability became an ongoing capability rather than a periodic analysis project.

    • Financial Modeling
    • Profitability
    • Automation
    • Decision Support
  • 11

Deposit Product & Fee Structure Analysis

Built the analysis behind a deposit product and fee structure review: how accounts were distributed across products, where existing structures had drifted out of alignment, and what the alternatives would mean before any decision was made.

    • Financial Analysis
    • Product Analytics
    • Scenario Analysis
  • 12

    Liquidity & Asset/Liability Analytics

Built and maintained the reporting used in recurring asset/liability and liquidity discussions, covering funding mix, deposit movement, yield and rate trends, maturity activity, and balance-sheet composition.

    • Financial Analytics
    • Balance Sheet
    • Liquidity
    • Decision Support
  • 13

Fraud, Payment Exception & Compliance Monitoring

Developed reporting and monitoring tools that surface unusual payment activity, mismatched payment details, and other exceptions for the teams responsible for investigating them. The systems organize and prioritize what deserves a look; the people reviewing them make the determinations.

    • Exception Reporting
    • Fraud Analytics
    • Risk
    • Compliance Support

Capability area

Regulatory & Reporting Automation

Recurring obligations turned into repeatable processes that produce the same defensible numbers every cycle.

  • 14

    Credit Loss (CECL) Data Automation

Automated the recurring data preparation and reporting that supports the credit-loss estimation process, so the information required for each cycle is assembled the same way every time instead of being rebuilt by hand.

    • Automation
    • Credit Analytics
    • Regulatory Support
  • 15

    Regulatory & External Reporting Support

Built repeatable data preparation, reconciliation, and reporting behind regulatory filing schedules, examination data requests, federal data collections, and year-end tax and consumer credit reporting. The emphasis throughout is producing the same defensible numbers the same way every period.

    • Regulatory Reporting
    • Reconciliation
    • Automation
  • 16

    Finance & Management Reporting Automation

Automated recurring financial and management reporting covering general-ledger trends, income and expense analysis, funding, fee activity, and board-level packages. Work that had been gathered, calculated, formatted, and distributed by hand each cycle now runs on a schedule.

    • Finance
    • Reporting Automation
    • Board Reporting

Capability area

Business Systems & Internal Tools

Applications and workflows that put the data in front of the people who act on it.

  • 17

Time Deposit CRM & Maturity Management

Built a CRM-style system around time deposits that organizes upcoming maturities, the relationships behind them, renewal opportunities, and follow-up activity. Retention work runs off a shared worklist instead of depending on whoever remembered to check.

    • Internal Application
    • CRM
    • Workflow
    • Deposits
  • 18

Customer Opportunity Alerts & Prospect Monitoring

Developed alerting and monitoring that identifies meaningful relationship events and potential lending and deposit opportunities from information the bank already had, and routes them to the right people. The output is a prompt to make a call; the decisions stay with the bankers.

    • Alerting
    • CRM
    • Business Development
    • Decision Support
  • 19

    Technology Operations & Access Reporting

Built an internal tracker for network and connectivity outages that measures downtime against business hours by location, along with recurring reporting on device inventory and periodic system access reviews.

    • Internal Application
    • IT Operations
    • Access Reporting
  • 20

Internal Tools, Document Processing & Applied AI

Built internal tools that take repetitive work off people’s desks: a configurable parser that turns recurring structured documents into usable data, workflow improvements for accounts payable, vendor, and lead management, and focused AI assistants for research, internal policy questions, and document review.

    • Internal Tools
    • Document Automation
    • Workflow
    • Applied AI

About this catalog

A representative sample, not a complete list.

These 20 entries stand in for a much larger body of work: data pipelines, data models, recurring reporting, financial analysis, operational support, and internal decision-support systems built and maintained over the same period. Individual reports and processes are grouped into the systems they belong to rather than listed one by one.

Most of it started the same way: someone was assembling the same information by hand, or two systems that should have agreed did not. That is the same work Greatest Ventures LLC does for clients today.
